A: The purpose of Opus Diaboli is, through its website and blog, to offer a forum for Satanic thought on contemporary issues - particularly on politics, and the public services.

It's mission is to set up a network of those working in Government, Local Government and Public Services who are actively involved in covertly insinuating Satanic thought into public policy. This is no more than those who have promoted Christian or Socialist agendas have done over the centuries.

Q: Do you have to be a Satanist to take part in Opus Diaboli?

A: No. You only have to be sympathetic to Opus Diaboli values. Opus Diaboli is wary of organisations, Satanic or otherwise, whose main interest is to get you to join. They frequently turn out to be lonely hearts clubs for the socially inept. With Opus Diaboli, there is nothing to join, no membership card, and you are not required to sell your soul. You can buy a wristband if you like.

Q: What is meant by Satanism within the terms of Opus Diaboli?

A: Good question, I'm glad you asked that. For the purposes of this web site, Satan is the balancing force in nature. The dark, hidden force which brings harmony back by causing change. It is nature as it really exists, not in some sanitised Disney version, or in an idealistic Wiccan form of nature worship, but the real majesty of nature in all of its harshness. It also represents true justice - getting what you deserve, no more and no less.

For this reason, Satanic thought tends towards letting nature take its course in human affairs, and not seperating people from the consequences of their actions.

Q: I'm interested in becoming more involved in Satanism, how do I start?
A: Opus Diaboli is not a recruiting ground for Satanists, neither is its sister site Satanism Today. Both sites presume a certain amount of knowledge and understanding of Satanic thought, and newbie questions will very likely be dealt with by the response 'go away and read'.
